Anna Bhushan is an enchanting illustrator and serious thinker. Her delicate works tackles themes in a way that really inspires and help understanding. She manifests a space in illustration for herself as a real individual with a unique stance and voice, From Anglo Indian origins Anna works both in London and New York as both an artist and illustrator. Her work is very human, very humane, beguiling, intricate and always beautifully made. Her Folio Society work for Salman Rushdie’s Midnights Children was so beautiful and clever that he was moved to buy the originals, Anna will talk about the transition from words to picture, literature to illustration and somehow conjure that space between. It is a real pleasure to have Anna as a speaker for the Symposium.
