Milkwood Gallery in Cardiff will be hosting an international exhibition of art and illustration which coincides with Cardiff School of Art & Deisgn’s Shadow Play illustration Symposium. They have very kindly extended an invitation to all our speakers and delegates to attend the Private View on 3 November 2010 from 6.00 - 9.00pm following Day 2 of the Shadow Play symposium.

The exhibition will be opened on the evening of Wednesday the 3 November 2010 with a performance by the French artist Arianne Foks. Following successful performances in Paris and Berlin Arianne will be making the trip from Paris to Cardiff to perform her work Now I Wanna Be Your Frog.

The exhibiting artists have all responded to a theme inspired by Jorges Luis Borges’ Book of Imaginary Beings in order to illustrate the redolence of our existence in this day in age.

Peculiar Pleasures will feature work by some of the UKs finest illustrators alongside emerging creative talents from as far afield as Puerto Rico and the US.
