Currently pursuing PhD from department of film studies and visual culture, EFL University, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. The area of my research is analyzing the visual language in children’s books of India.
Other Activities:
I have exhibited my art works in a few group shows around India.
I have worked as an illustrator for a children’s magazine chakmak, published by a Bhopal based NGO ‘Ekalaya’. I was also part of a children’s picture book project called ‘Different Tales’ by a research forum based in Hyderabad called, Anveshi. I had illustrated a Malayalam book called ‘Poochakurinyaar’, which was a story about an abstract character of a cat and a woman.
Seminars:
I have participated in a National seminar on Children’s literature in India, organized by the Hyderabad Central University in February 2011. I had also presented a paper there called New age book stores: a destination for young readers in the time of commodity culture.
